|  | Bayside Drive ImprovementsProject Description
This project will rehabilitate the existing Bayside Drive Trunk Sewer along Bayside Drive between El Paseo Drive and Carnation Avenue in the City of Newport Beach. The project includes the rehabilitation of over 3,000 feet of pipe as well as a small City sewer that connects to the trunk line. This project will increase the life expectancy of the trunk sewer by 25-30 years. By rehabilitating the sewer rather than replacing, community disruption will be kept to a minimum and capital savings will be realized.
During the work, the eastbound lane will remain open for traffic, however, westbound traffic will be rerouted - detours sign will be posted to indicate route. Parking along the north side of Bayside Drive will be restricted, parking on the south side will remain open unless otherwise noted.
Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and periodic Saturday's 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Construction is scheduled for January 2010 with estimated completion in spring 2010.
