Project Description  This project will replace OCSD’s current Bitter Point Pump Station with a new pump station. The existing station is located north of the intersection of Superior Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in the City of Newport Beach. The new pump station will be located just west and adjacent to the existing site on the north side of PCH.
The construction of this project began in Summer 2009 with estimated completion in Spring 2012.
Project Status: The project is moving along right on schedule. The next phase of work which will be noticeable to the neighbors and those who use West Coast Highway, is the sewer connection to the new station. One westbound lane will be closed to allow space for this work. The closure will be implemented as early as October 10, 2011 with an expected completion date of February 2012.
