Carbon Canyon Sewer Project

Project Description

The Carbon Canyon project will construct a gravity trunk sewer to replace the existing Carbon Canyon Dam Pump Station and its associated force main near Carbon Canyon Dam in the City of Brea. The project will abandon the existing pump station and force main, and install approximately 4,970 feet of new 24-inch to 36-inch gravity sewer line.

Construction will consist of pipe installation using micro-tunneling technique
under the ridge that surrounds the Carbon Canyon Basin. Bore pits will be excavated to create an entrance and exit point for the micro-tunneling equipment. In accessible areas the traditional open-cut trench method will be used.

Construction is scheduled for completion in December 2009.
