Coast Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation

Project Description

This project will rehabilitate the existing Coast Trunk Sewer along Pacific Coast Highway between Beach Boulevard and Brookhurst Street, in the City of Huntington Beach. The project includes rehabilitation of approximately 7,000 feet of 54-inch, 300 feet of 72-inch and 900 feet of 84-inch pipe. The rehabilitation is needed to protect the concrete from hydrogen sulfide corrosion. This project will increase the life expectancy of the trunk sewer by 25-30 years. By rehabilitating the sewer rather than replacing the sewer, community disruption will be kept to a minimum and capital savings will be realized.

Construction is scheduled for early 2009.
