Rehabilitation of Balboa Trunk Sewer

This project will rehabilitate the existing Balboa Trunk Sewer along Newport and Balboa Boulevards between A Street and Short Street in the City of Newport Beach. The scope of the project includes approximately 12,600 feet of 15-inch and 24-inch diameter pipe.

Construction is scheduled for early 2011, assessment work took place in September and October 2009.

Dover Drive Trunk Sewer Relief

This project will construct a major trunk sewer along Dover Drive between Irvine Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway in the City of Newport. The project will increase the hydraulic capacity for 10,200 lineal feet of existing 15-21 inch sewer line.

Construction is scheduled for fall 2010.

Newport Force Main Condition Assessment

This project consists of assessing the Newport Trunk Force Main along Pacific Coast Highway between 61st Street and Dover Drive in the City of Newport Beach. The assessment was done in two phases; the first phase consisted of using technology such as “smart ball” testing and CCTV. The second phase build access ports to physically inspect the line and determine the condition. Following the assessment a rehabilitation plan will be developed.

Assessment work took place in September and November 2009.
