Residents take compost to build healthy soil and create beautiful green gardens! Building Community by Building Healthy Soils!

The Anaheim Independencia Community Center is dedicated to bring any possible means of assistance to all its residents. OCSD and Synagro joined their cause by donating compost for its members. The community, better known as La Colonia, appreciated the free soil amendment and was supportive of OCSD’s efforts to recycle biosolids through composting.

On Saturday, July 28, the City of Cypress celebrated its 27th annual Cypress Community Festival where thousands of people enjoy music, dance performances, a car show and much more.  For the second year in row, OCSD staff had a booth to provide information on the benefits of recycling biosolids and request people’s input on OCSD’s biosolids program via public comment cards.
