Newport Blvd Off-ramp Reopens January 15
Starting next week, the Newport Blvd. off-ramp will reopen. The ramp has been closed since October for the construction of a sewer pipeline. A section of the sewer pipeline has been installed, and crews are proceeding north along Newport Blvd.
The on-ramp will remain closed for several more weeks.
Crews will be working Sunday night, January 14, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. to adjust the traffic control to get the off-ramp reopened.
Follow the progress of the project and receive construction updates by signing up for e-notifications and select "Newport Blvd District 6 Sewer" in the news section.

The Newport Blvd. District 6 Trunk Sewer Relief construction project will replace an existing 60 year old regional sewer pipeline with a larger sewer pipeline to increase the sewer flow capacity and reduce the risk of spills. Construction will take place along Newport Blvd. between Pacific Coast Highway and Industrial Way in the City of Newport Beach and Pomona Ave and 17th St in the City of Costa Mesa.
