At the March 27 meeting of the Orange County Sanitation District, the Board of Directors voted to authorize the new rate schedule.

This project will construct primary sludge thickening facilities to improve solids handling capacity, replaces sludge dewatering facilities to replace aging equipment and reduce biosolids handling and disposal, and rehabilitates solids handling odor control equipment to replace aging equipment at the Fountain Valley Wastewater Reclamation Plant.
This project will construct a major trunk sewer along Dover Drive between Irvine Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway in the City of Newport Beach. The 15-21 inch diameter pipeline with be replaced with a 24-inch diameter pipeline.
The National Water Research Institute of Fountain Valley, California, named us as the fifth recipient of the NWRI Award of Excellence for successful completion of our 10-year Secondary Treatment Program.
This project will provide sludge thickening treatment to treat the current activated sludge plant solids. The project will rehabilitate the Dissolved Air Flotation Thickeners and three digesters at the Huntington Beach Wastewater Treatment Facility.
OCWD and OCSD our two public agencies together made history when the Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS) began operations in January 2008. It’s hard to believe that was five years ago!
