Classification Program Overview
The classification program at OCSD is traditional in nature with most classifications grouped into job families. Each job has a classification specification.
A classification specification is a description of a particular class or a series of classes which provides a summary list of representative duties, required qualifications and physical demands and the working environment.
The compensation program at OCSD is traditional in nature. There is one pay range matrix for all classifications. There is one pay range matrix for all classifications. Each class specification is allocated to a pay grade with a range minimum and maximum.
The salary schedules contain the various ranges of salary to which each classification at the District has been assigned. The salary schedules sorted by bargaining group.
