OCSD's Three New Biosolids Videos
OCSD has recently released a series of videos on our YouTube channel including a new general tour video, Capital Improvement Program, Budget and Finance, Recruiting, and a message from our General Manger.
Three biosolids clips were produced and will be incorporated into our updated "Where Do Biosolids Go" video in 2018. In the meantime, you can get a sneak peak of the new clips below.

The Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) has recently been selected to receive the Graphic Design USA-American Graphic Design Award. Nearly 10,000 entries were submitted and only 15 percent were selected to receive the award.

Over the course of 2013, we recycled almost all of our biosolids which was made possible by our exceptional source control, operations, and biosolids management programs, which are all part of our biosolids management system. In 2013, the pollutant concentrations in our biosolids were below well below the regulatory limits. OCSD continues to improve the productivity of farmland by using the soil conditioning properties and nutrient content found in biosolids.

The Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) is proud to announce that our Biosolids Program has earned re-certification by the National Biosolids Partnership (NBP). We were the first in the nation to be certified and are now celebrating 10 years of this progressive certification.

Decades of nationwide use, research, and regulatory review and oversight have demonstrated the benefits and safety of biosolids. Orange County’s biosolids have been safely applied to farmland in California and Arizona since the 1990’s.
