Project Description:
This project will rehabilitate the Ocean Outfall Booster Station Joint Facilities. The work also consists of rehabilitating two parallel pipelines that run adjacent to the Santa Ana River Trail between Plant No. 1 in Fountain Valley and Plant No. 2 in Huntington Beach. Any secondary effluent not being used by the Orange County Water District for the Groundwater Replenishment System is transported through the interplant pipelines down to Plant No. 2 and pumped to the ocean outfall.

The pipelines are 84-inches and 120-inches in diameter and will be accessed via various manholes to conduct the repairs. New fiber optic cable will also be installed with work taking place at both facilities.

Project Status:

All repairs within the 84-inch pipeline, 120-inch pipeline and associated manholes have been completed.

Current Approved Budget: $19,300,000
