This project will make improvements to two parallel sewer lines and associated manholes along a two-mile stretch of Seal Beach Blvd/Los Alamitos Blvd. from just north of the I-405 freeway to Katella Avenue in the cities of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos. Also being repaired is the sewer on Katella Avenue from Oak Street to Lexington Drive. The sewer lines suffer from corrosion and must be fixed to extend their service life. Once fully repaired, the lines will remain operational for another 50 years.
This project is part of the Western Regional Sewer Program that is replacing and/or rehabilitating over 20 miles of sewer in six cities and unincorporated area of the County of Orange known as Rossmoor.
Construction is anticipated to begin summer 2021.
