Construction Underneath 91 Freeway Starting

Construction to install a new sewer pipeline underneath the 91 freeway bridge at State College Blvd. is starting this week.  This is the remaining portion of the pipeline to complete Phase A of the Newhope Sewer Replacement Project!  Most of the work, which will require some turn lane closures, will be done at night to minimize impact to commuters. 

For northbound State College Blvd. drivers, the left turn to access the westbound 91 freeway on-ramp will require intermittent closures, Monday through Friday, 10 p.m. - 5 a.m.  Closures will take place for approximately 3 months.  During the closure, drivers should detour by continuing northbound on State College Blvd., to westbound Orangethorpe Ave., to southbound Raymond Ave. to access the 91 freeway.  See map below.

Project Description:

This project will replace a sewer line along State College Boulevard from Yorba Linda Boulevard to Orangewood Avenue in the cities of Anaheim and Fullerton. The project is divided in two phases: A and B. Phase A started construction in May 2016 and will last approximately 18 months. Phase B construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in winter 2018.
